Program overview
SPARK helps participants apply artificial intelligence to their own research, teaching, or administrative work by building a working AI tool or workflow for a real problem.
SPARK is an intensive summer program for a cohort of up to 16 CUA faculty and staff. Participants work alongside colleagues from across disciplines and administrative units.
Applicants do not need prior programming experience. Bring a research project, course, or administrative task where an AI tool or workflow could make a meaningful difference.
Participants receive full coverage of AI platform costs during the program, technical coaching, and cohort support throughout the five sessions.
SPARK is a collaboration between the College of Arts & Sciences and the Department of Computer Science, with generous support from the CUA Innovation Seed Fund.
